Rap Sheet: Keepin’ It In the Fam

- Father figure: Snoop explains why he didn’t go through with the divorce he petitioned for back in 2004, “I just don’t want another man raising my kids. That was the main goal. I had kids with my wife because I wanted to be with my wife. And those three babies are all wanted, and I wanted to be with them.”
- Smoking gun: Yung Joc must have been temporarily insane to really think he could just walk into Cleveland’s Hopkins International Airport strapped. The 24 year-old rapper was arrested for gun possession and could face federal charges for violating the Air Piracy Act.
- Baker’s dozen: XXL’s Editor-In-Chief Elliot Wilson lived up to his promise of publishing 24 posts in 24 hours, (he actually went one-over) touching on a wide range of subjects like office-calls with Benzino and his goonies, hip-hop’s most hated and other off-beat rap history topics. YN even ended the day-long e-thuggin extravaganza with his own rendition of Ja Rule’s “Holla, Holla.”
- Hip Hop endorsements: Check out this interesting Forbes article on rappers endorsing presidential candidates. So far, 50’s got Hillary’s back. “It would be nice to see a woman be the actual president. … I think she’d be a good president,” said Curtis. Producer Timbaland threw her a fund raiser in Miami earlier this year. As for Barack Obama, he’s got the love of rappers like Common and Talib Kweli.
