- Write off: Mobb Deep’s Prodigy has started posting stories on his new blog. He talks about his upbringing in Long Island, “Whats the word my geez, just in case you didn’t know MY STORY is a ill one. I was born in HEMPSTEAD L.I. and lived out there up until like age 10. Where i grew up at iN L.I. there were alot of GODS and EARTHS, if you don’t know those are 5% er’s and Muslims who study and memorize the 120 lessons. (peace god, whats today’s mathematics?) and all that shit.” Only caveat is that you have to actually “sign in” to read it. Boo!
- Fu Gee La: Thankfully, a young Wyclef Jean didn’t listen to his pops when he told him to stay away rap music, “When I got to the U.S. I was 10 years old out of the project, and the first sounds I heard was a bass,” Wyclef remembered. “I was like, ‘What’s that?’ And my dad was like, ‘Get back in the house, I don’t want you listening to that music.’ And of course that’s the music I started listening to, and that was hip-hop.”
- Rude bwoy: 50 Cent continues to wild out in Europe, this time in Poland. While traveling around Warsaw, he was talking mad ish about Beyonce, saying “Shout to Hova, we’ve seen the magic box live,” when discussing her private parts. But he did say she’s not a blatant leg spreading whore like Paris Hilton.
