Rap Sheet: Stop the Violence!

- The sequel: KRS One is kicking off a 2007 version of the ‘Stop the Violence’ campaign and he’s got the support of 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Cassidy and other Hip Hop notables. The first campaign was back in 1989, when Yo! MTV Raps was still on and KRS gathered a crew of memorable rappers (Heavy D, MC Lyte, Stetsasonic, Dougie Fresh, Public Enemy, etc…) with his “Self Destruction” anthem.
- Sell out: According to the R-O-C, Jay-Z’s American Gangster album tour sold out in less than a minute. Other dates and cities might be added.
- RIP JMJ: It’s already been five years since Jam Master Jay was found murdered in his studio in Queens. Check out this eery video, the first time cameras were allowed in the studio since his death.
- Maternity leave!: A woman is suing Jay-Z and his 40/40 Club, claiming she was fired from the hotspot when supervisors learned about her pregnancy.

Props to the Blastmaster for starting rallying them for Stop the Violence 2007. How’s about someone just bring back a new Yo! MTV Raps already (sans Retro Kids, thanks).
