Tony Hawk Hopes You’ll ‘Shred Or Die’

We’ve got good news for the action sports junkies among you. A new video sharing website has launched called Shred or Die that was co-founded by skate king Tony Hawk. It can best be described as a ‘YouTube for action sports’ and features videos with an emphasis on skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, BMX, motorcross, and if there’s scantily clad models in bikinis, a runway show here and there too. Users are encouraged to “shred” or “die” uploaded videos, thereby providing a peer based voting system that highlights the best possible content and moves the good stuff up the list, while keeping the crap stuff in check. In addition to providing targeted content, the video player itself offers a lot of cool options. It gives users the power to toggle slow motion, a jump back 5 seconds button (great for watching gnarly bails), and even a frame by frame option so you can catch all the action.
