Trustafarian’s Lawyers Hate Word: ‘Trustafarian’

The aNYthing legal drama continues and is even starting to spill out onto our keyboards. We received a cease and desist letter from some overly aggressive lawyers on behalf of Anything Corp.’s Kiernan Costello, newly enthroned arch enemy of aNYthing founder Aaron “A-Ron” Bondaroff. They are demanding we desist using the “t” word when referring to the upper income bracketed aNYthing comptroller. The only problem is that dastardly free speech thing, and not just this stiffly defined legal mumbo jumbo version they present:

Damn guys. Might we suggest you start spending your resources on more pressing business matters, and less on trying to censor the people covering it. See the rest of the legal rambling after the jump.

  1. kiernens a little bitch, you heard it here from someone who worked around him back when aron was still at anything. he never did shit for the company besides sit around waiting for the money to come back, never had any ideas how to make anything into a bigger brand, and thats pretty apparent now with all this (glob, line sheet, etc), its embarressing how bad it is and shows how out of touch he was with the whole idea of the company from the beginning. nyglob+aron 4 life

  2. Wow. This just keeps getting better and better. Kiernan and crew have been working tirelessly with shovels, digging themselves a nice, deep grave lined with horrible t-shirts.

  3. Without personally knowing either of these dudes, but knowing of them, I have to say the New York streetwear scene looks like a fucking laughing stock these days. It says so much about the culture in general. Kids with money who don’t want to work finance “companies” for Kids without money (A-Ron) who want to diss the corporate system and don’t know shit about running a business. Paperwork, hollar!!! I love how A-Ron wanted to create a downtown NY scene to rival the CBGBs heyday, but it turns out he doesn’t even own his own brand and half the kids who are in his scene are TRUSTAFARIANS themselves - Ryan McGinley to name one. It’s all depressing. This is how the world ends. This is how the first decade of the ’00s will go down. It’s time for the young kids to step up, us 20somethings have fucked it all up. We’re either a DJ trying to be the next Diplo or jaded, or abandoning everything we stood for five years ago to make more bank - aka VICE. Was aNYthing’s tshirts style ever that great to begin with? It was all HYPE.

  4. aNYthing’s product has always been wack its funny people are tripping so hard on this… most people out there can’t see beyond all the hype of streetwear, marketing and most of these brands, think for themselves and realize whats dope without someone telling them
