Artist Adam Stennett is done painting riveting mice, and has moved onto the ladies. He’s showcasing his newest work in NYC on October 11 at 31 Grand. The exhibit, “Use Only As Directed,” features 5 paintings and some new video work, all pharmacologically linked. His latest art features:

[I]mages of girls poised precariously near turbulent water and various medicinal products put to queasy, off-label uses. They are simultaneously seductive and discomforting.”

Artsy fartsy talk aside, this new painting remind us of Chris Rock’s comedy bit from Bigger & Blacker about ‘tussin solving all his medical problems even when the bottle’s empty: “If you run out of it, put some water in the jar, shake it up, more ‘tussin!”
