Cap’n Bounch Is Seeing Red

If you’re a vinyl toy fan, Bounty Hunter needs no introduction. If you’ve never heard of him and still new at understanding this seminally-infantile baseball card collecting-like subculture, let’s just say he’s often been considered one of the top original designer vinyl toy designers. This red colorwayed Cap’n Bounch character is his latest collaboration with Silly Thing Corp. and drops in a few days—Sept. 22 to be exact—but a lot of good that will do you unless you know someone in Hong Kong. It sucks too, cause vinyl like this appeals to both Bounty Hunter fans and Saturday morning cartoon-watchers from the 80’s alike, on nostalgia factor alone, and it would have been nice to see the Captain over in the US. ToysRevil has been all over this story and has a treasure chest of info, including images of the official black version and everything else you could conceivably need to know about this toy.
