iPhone Addicts Offered $100 Credit To Help Ease Their Initial Afflictions
Yesterday we told you about Apple’s decision to kill the 4GB iPhone and slash the price on the premiere 8GB by more than $200 just a few months after it’s mega-hyped release. The highly revered phone that sold for $599 has now dropped to $399 and that’s got some of Apple’s biggest devotees really pissed off. Sensing a looming PR nightmare and potential backlash from Apple fanatics, Steve Jobs just announced that he’s personally read all the hate mail and has agreed to give a $100 store credit to the half million or so people that basically got jerked in the first round of buying. Gizmodo has got a few good tips on how to try and recoup some of that money back even if you did buy prior to the price drop.
