The 2nd Coming: iPhone Price Drops Like Rain From Heaven

Besides the fascism involved in having to use AT&T exclusively to get hooked up with the godly iPhone, another big obstacle for consumers was the price point. Well, we’ve got some good news for those of you that haven’t jumped on the iWagon, bad news for those of you that did. In a not so shocking move, Apple announced that it’s killing the 4GB model iPhone, and dropping the price like the Dow Jones Industrial on the 8GB version. Here’s the deal, literally: you can still get yourself the 4GB for $299 (while supplies last) or go for the gusto and get the 8GB for the newly reduced $399 price. Ya still gotta deal with AT&T but just think about the scope of gloating that can be had, when you wave your discounted iPhone at the 500k or so people that got way overcharged.
