Wearing Saggy Trousers = Having Sex In Public

li_waynextra1-copy.jpgWith Complex headquartered well above the Mason-Dixon line, we wouldn’t exactly call ourselves experts on the culture of the South, sans Hip Hop, but one thing’s for sure, it’s a screwy place down there. Back a few months ago we told you about a parish city government in a backwater Louisiana town that was banning the wearing of “saggy trousers” in public. Well like a bad virus, the same idea has now spread to a much bigger municipality: the great city of Atlanta. Lead Uncle Tom councilman, C.T. Martin (his bio page), claims that the trend of wearing low slung trousers is an “epidemic.” With all the problems facing a bustling place like ATL, and the amount of exposure the Souther royalty of rap has brought to that city, who would have thought that politicians would even waste time trying to legislate a dress code. And to equate a fashion statement with public sex is outrageously disturbing:

The proposed ordinance states that “the indecent exposure of his or her undergarments” would be unlawful in a public place. It would go in the same portion of the city code that outlaws sex in public and the exposure or fondling of genitals.

Equally egregious in this ordinance, is that women would also face fines for showing the strap of a bra or thong. Now that’s crossing the line, and fellas, it’s time we stand up and face this evildoer ourselves. Racial profiling and giving law enforcement more tools to harass young black men is one thing, but denying men the God-given right to see some sexy lace straps is borderline Fascist. So it’s time we call you to action and urge you to phone or email the councilman directly and let him know how retarded, anti-Constitutional, and discriminatory a law like this would be. Here’s all the info you’ll need to blast him with your weapon of choice:

  2. Its always been the rule in society to police what the parents at home will not or cannot always enforce ,i.e. curfew, limited driving at 16 and drinking at 21 .My pops always told me to control myself and actions or someone else will do it for me-either the streets or the local government, so don’t be surprised if your pulled over at 1:30am because you have dreads, pimped out ride, smoking’ on a black and milds, and have a mouth full of gold .Your a walking stereo type. Gear works the same. What ever happened to looking fresh, clean and smooth? Can’t do that looking like you have a full diaper like a 6 month old baby. Parents have lost control over there households. So, at this point it really doesn’t surprise me that the local gov has decided to take such a thing in there hands. As a parent I don’t want my seeds looking at grown men in there underpants and rocking long hair(braids/cornrows)- soft new age thugs.Hey ,if it move like a woman , talk like a woman and is soft like a woman -it may get poked like a woman***keep ya pants up*** dqo

  5. this is stupid its just clothes. honestly it would be funny if it werent so sad that, we’re spreading fredom in other countries but every day we lose more of our own. these government officals are no better then the taliban. laws are ment to protect people from things that actually hurt them. not to keep you from being offended. i live in atlanta and there are much bigger problems then the way pants are being worn. to really belive that banning sagging pants will some how make things better is just plain stupid. Va tried this same thing 3 years ago and once the international community cought wind of it they became the laughing stock of the world. Va quickly drop the bill.
