Store Robots To Be As Annoying As Store Clerks
As if the snotty nosed salespeople hounding you and repeatedly asking “Can I help you?” in department stores wasn’t annoying enough, leave it to the Japanese to develop a technology straight out of Minority Report that will not only greet you, but also recognize your shopping habits:
The robots recognize repeat customers and provide shopping guidance based on information contained in an electronic tag attached to the shopper’s cell phone. The robots communicate in 1,000 different ways through voice and gesture.
Hopefully you’ll be strolling with the right girl when this thing starts running down all the lingerie purchases you made in the past six months.
