Haggis Never Looked So Good

Normally when we think of Haggis, images of plucked sheep hearts and livers dance through our head. That was, until we ran across Haggis Chick, an upcoming amateur photographer who’s setting Flickr ablaze. This sultry Scottish photographer has been posting erotic photos of herself on the photo sharing site since 2006 and has amassed almost 300k views already (one of her photos brought in 50k hits on its own). Although she claims she’s shy, you couldn’t tell by her alluringly sexy self- portraits, which have attracted quite a devoted fan base. Even her bizarro clone and multiplicity flicks are hot. Whenever she posts new photos, the commenters start commenting and everyone wants her in their Flickr group. So we contacted the bashful exhibitionist and asked ‘Joanne’ (we’re on a first name basis only) to answer some questions and let us publish some of our favorite picks of the litter (some NSFW). She gingerly agreed and told us a little bit about her first time, the shock of the attention, and what we can look forward to in the future:

How old are you (some women don’t like to answer, we know, your choice)?
Mmmm should I answer that, can I tell lies???? Ok, 32 ouch that hurt saying that. I’m an old lady!!

Where are you from? Where do you live?
I’m from Aberdeenshire in Scotland and live out in the sticks (country).

How long have you been shooting?
Only been into it since November 2006, that’s when I first started posting on Flickr.

What kind of camera do you use?
I started off with a Sony DSC H2 and just recently bought a Canon 400D EOS or Digital Rebel as some call it.

Were you nervous when you first started posting revealing pictures of yourself?
I was absolutely terrified of posting a picture even with my clothes on let alone one with my clothes off. In all honesty you don’t actually see anything in my nude shots but yes it was very daunting!

How did you overcome the initial upload and publish to the world?
Ha ha, I overcame it by having a drink lol! I think I was probably drunk the first time I uploaded one and then when I woke in the morning I thought “shit what have I done” anyway I had a few comments and thought it was unfair to take it down so just left it as it was, the rest is history as they say!

Did you expect that you would get so much attention? You only started posting photos in 2006 and your Flickr already has over 200,000 views.
No way on this earth did I expect to get the attention or comments that I have gained over the last few months. It’s come as a total shock but a very nice one at that. Yeah I can’t believe I’m sitting at 283,769 views as I type and I love everyone at flickr who helped me reach that figure.

Where do you shoot the nudes?
They are all done in my house or in my garden, ducking and diving from the odd tractor driver as he passes by on the road!

Even though you go fully nude in some of your shots, you don’t show anything. Do you think the more you publish your photos, the more daring you’ll get?
No I don’t think I will ever go more daring or show all. I sometimes think less is more. I think it keeps people wondering also, I love tasteful nude pics, they can look so beautiful when they are done correctly.

Has anyone sent your any complaints or plain raunchy comments?
I don’t recall anyone complaining about my work not to my face anyway although my account was changed to moderate for a while because someone flagged one of my photos. Yeah you get raunchy comments now and again some are funny others are just down right vulgar.

What does your husband think of all the attention and your “fans”?
My husband is completely cool about the whole thing and 100% behind me in my pics.

You looking to make a career out of this, or are you just exploring some sort of fantasy?
I would love to make a career out of this one day. I have just been accepted to study an HND in Photography and Digital Editing for 2 years so I’m really excited about that.

If you ever come to NYC would you shoot nudes of yourself on our rooftop?
LOL, yeah I would but I would be taking them and with no one looking hee hee. I’m shy!
