Regardless of how you felt about that now infamous blank screen ending to The Sopranos, the marketing and PR folks at Ford were surely ecstatic. Not only was one of their very own, a Ford ‘Expedition,’ used in one of the best scenes (and by best we mean violent) of the finale, but also, they didn’t even have to pay for it. As the details of The Sopranos get poured over from every angle, the Detroit News reports how Ford officials did not pay for the product placement in the whacking of Phil Leotardo scene.
