  • Brand magic: If you got an upcoming t-shirt line, this might be the reason to go to menswear trade show MAGIC. Two designers, Alador and Smith, booked $80k in sales and within a few months were mentioned in Entertainment Weekly, XXL, and the Source. They expect sales to reach $500k this year. Plus it helped that Tyrese, Saigon, and Cipha Sounds started rocking their gear.
  • Back-to-back: Foxy Brown has decided to stop beating hairdressers for a while and get back to making music. She’s dropping two albums simultaneously, one mainstream and one ’street’ LP for hood status.
  • Who’s Property?: An author is suing Jay Z and Damon Dash for $15 million dollars over claims that they stole his script to make Roc-A-Fella film ‘State Property.’ So he’s the one to blame for that movie?
  • Bloody emcees: We gotta agree with SOHH on this one. Sure, London rappers have a right to dis NYC, buy they sound like total ‘tossers’ doing it.
