Their Bark Is Not Worse Than Their Bite

Benzino mays vs complex1.jpg
Normally, at this point, we’d just let sleeping dogs lie, but these pooches, clearly foaming at the mouth, deserve to be put to sleep. Not content on just biting words from our PRINT magazine and publishing them in their rap rag, now Benzino and Dave Mays are taking our ONLINE material and reusing it for press releases in attempt to further mislead the public. Apparently, they can’t write anything original. Last week we wrote a post detailing how the foul mouthed founders of the Hip Hop Weekly lied about there being no beef, sent us a cease and desist letter, and again took quotes for the 2nd time (in a row) from our Lil Wayne interview. Here’s what we wrote that is still very much online we might add:

Ok Dave and Benzino enough’s enough. Sure they claimed there was no beef between Hip Hop Weekly and Complex, except of course when they sent over that little cease and desist letter. And although we won’t get too detailed about the whole $15 million dollar incident that got us into legal trouble last time, we will take offense to them jacking quotes AGAIN, especially when it’s on the opening page for their cover story.

Looks like they took the meat of that post and made it into a press release almost a week later, begging that someone, anyone would throw them a bone. Well, no one did and so instead they’ve gone fishing with this:

After an attorney for Hip Hop Weekly served Complex magazine last week with a cease and desist letter demanding that Complex remove its online story accusing Hip Hop Weekly of plagiarism, as well as making other defamatory statements, the article was immediately removed and no longer appears on the Complex website. “Hip Hop Weekly is a fresh start for me and my business partner, and we have no beef with Complex or any other publications; however, the statements made about us on their website were false and defamatory and we are pleased that they have promptly removed that material,” said David Mays, co-founder of Hip Hop Weekly.

Guys this is old news. We wrote the new post last week and this time left out what we refer to as the “whole $15 million dollar incident that got us into legal trouble last time,” so our most recent post about you guys blatantly Biting Sources Again is staying up for good. What more can we possibly say? You guys take quotes and don’t give credit. Funny how you didn’t send anything over about the latest post we wrote. Cause it’s indefensible. Simple. Case closed. We know you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but can’t you bitches do anything right, how bout roll over, or better yet, play dead?
