The Harebrained Wi Fi Must Have

wifi04.jpg
OK, we’ll admit to this thing being a BIT geeky and a WHOLE lot trivial but who cares? It’s called the Nabaztag and is one of PingMag’s latest top five Wi-Fi toys hopping around the internets. Besides the obvious gadgety cool factor, this thing automatically qualifies you for an official web 2.0 badge. So what the hell does this bunny do?

This 9-inch toy can receive text messages, e-mails and any kind of RSS-feeds. Instead of a display it reads out any message in a synthetic voice or plays any audio content your friends emailed to the little bunny. And – this is the specialty – it shows ‘mood messages’: three luminescent points on Nabaztag’s belly change according to the data feed. The same goes for the position of the long ears that rotate accordingly.

So now you can have a your own personal little talking weird robo-bunny that can tell you the news and talk out your favorite blogs in a synthetic voice instead of actually having to read them yourself. Plus this synthetic companion lights up and moves it ears! Now that’s a new level of frivolity that no one else can promise.
