A guy named Bart decided to finally pop the big question to his girlfriend Amber, but as he told ANIMAL, "rings in champagne glasses and one-kneed proposals in Central Park" aren't really his cup of tea. Instead, Bart took 26 cans of paint and a friend to stand guard and proceeded to paint his proposal in colorful bubble letters on a construction site wall near the High Line.
ANIMAL also spoke to Amber, who says that she expected the proposal at some point but she had no idea Bart would go that far. He handed her a piece of folded paper as they walked and as she opened it, she could see the "Amber Will You Marry Me" design that faced them on a nearby wall. The good news is, she said yes. Bart isn't the first person to use graffiti to ask for someone's hand in marriage, but he is the latest, and his story is pretty phenomenal. It's not renting out a baseball stadium, but who would do that anyway?
Think about Bart before you make those lame reservations at an Italian restaurant or before you waste your time choreographing some elaborate flash mob performance.
