Rare X-Ray Photos of Spacesuits on Display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Humans have been fascinated with the stars and space for a long time. Even though we have reached the moon, there is still a lot out there that we want need to see. The science involved in getting man into space is completely foreign to most people, though we can all recognize a space suit when we see it. The Smithsonian Institute will display x-rays of suits and equipment in a new exhibition at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, giving visitors a different perspective on what they think they've seen thousands of times before.

In addition to the x-ray photos and other rare photographs, "Suited for Space" will display various suits from different countries and decades, showing the changes in design and advancements in science over the past 60 years. The exhibition is on view now through December 1.
