Rules for Creating an Effective Graphic Résumé

3. Simplicity is key.

Keep it simple; if there's too much going on people won't know where to look. The number one problem with graphic résumés in general is the delicate balance between content and the graphics. For your field, is it more important to have a map of the languages you know or quotes from past employers? Though you may think both are very important, trying to do both will probably lead to a confused jumble. Parse down your résumé so only the necessary information is displayed.
