Yayoi Kusama Speaks on Camera in New Nowness Clip (Video)

We love Yayoi Kusama's obsession with dots, repeated in her installations. If you don't know her history, let us get you up to speed. Kusama saw hallucinations in the form of dots in her childhood and she has been replicating them throughout her works. Sadly she has been living in a mental hospital since 1974 (she stays by choice). Despite her illnesses, she does create fantastic works, like  her exhibit in Norway.

We're here to present to you a video with the artist herself speaking about her message. Interviews with her are precious considering her present state. A short film from Nowness displays her eccentricity and provides her fans a peek inside of her mind. Her words are poetic and inspiring. Take a look below and see for yourself.
