Jeff Koons Creates Balloon Venus Sculpture for Dom Pérignon Rose

Jeff Koons Creates Balloon Venus Sculpture for Dom Pérignon RoseRaphael Gianelli Meriano

American artist and sculptor Jeff Koons has teamed up with vintage champagne brand Dom Pérignon to create a sculpture for their Rosé 2003. The sculpture is a miniature version of his Balloon Venus sculpture (currently on view at the Gagosian Gallery in New York City) and contains a bottle of the champagne. The original Balloon Venus was inspired by the Venus of Willendorf, a statue over 25,000 years old that was discovered in 1908 in Austria.

Koons has also created limited edition gift-boxes for the Rosé and for a Brut 2004 which will be unveiled at some point this spring.
