These Vegetarian Models of Weapons Present Paradoxical Beauty

Artist Sonia Rentsch makes use of her trademark talent in "creating deceptively clever scenes from the simplest of objects" in her series "Harm Less." Using all-natural plant materials including flowers, stems, leaves, and branches, the artist creates shapes depicting various pistols, bullets, and a grenade. While the delicate natural parts may contradict the explosive nature of handguns, the paradox lies between generative nature and destructive weapons. Weapons of any level of destruction are a threat to peace, but these renderings may be an exception.
