Repentir App Allows Users to See the Development of a Painting

Artists and tech nerds rejoice! A new app designed for iPhones and iPads allows users to view the creation of a painting from sketches to the final work from any angle. The free app entitled Repentir was created by the United Kingdom's Newcastle University and Northumbria University.

Sadly right now the app only works with one painting but developers say it can be used with more works, new and old. The app and the painting, "Transamerica" by Nathan Walsh, were unveiled in Paris at the 2013 Association for Computing Machinery Conference on Human Factors in Computing a few days ago. We'll keep an eye out for updates on the app.
