Portfolio Review: Artist Isaac Lin Explains His Favorite Mixed Media Works

HERE I AM

"This is a photo my father took of himself. I think it is from 1965. He always wanted to be a cello player but his teacher told him his fingers were too fat. But he still practiced every night. I like how his head is cropped from the photo. He passed away when I was 17 and the photo sort of symbolizes his absence. The drawing I made on the photo represents a sense of loss. The lines reaffirm his absence."
