Kenny Scharf Unveils an Installation in the Plaza at The Standard, High Line

LA and Brooklyn-based artist Kenny Scharf will be showing a sculpture entitled Squirtz at The Standard, High Line Hotel in New York. The unveiling of the 8-foot tall installation will happen on March 15 and coincides with his exhibit at the Paul Kasmin GalleryKolors, from April 4 through May 4, 2013. Scharf was associated with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring while in New York during the '70s and '80s, and now he's returning to the scene with these humorous, eye-catching works. Above, you can see images of Squirtz as well as images of a forthcoming catalogue detailing the exhibition, Kolors, from Standard Press, Damiani, and Paul Kasmin Gallery.
