These aren't real fish. Before you read this you should watch the video. A big part of what makes Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori's artwork amazing is the way in which it is made. The artist pours resin into compartments and paints the fish in layers, each creating the image like a 3D printer. He creates an optical illusion while even provides another layer of creativity with the addition of cups to make his works seem even more real.
