"JR: Blow Up" Short Film by Matt Black Tells the Story of the Photographer's Work Around the World (Video)

JR is well-known by now for being a bold photographer who doesn't limit his work to the gallery or museum. A new short film by Matt Black sheds light on the beginnings of his career, from doing graffiti as a youth in Paris to finding a camera on the metro and starting to take photographs. The keys to his success, as evidenced by the film, seem to have been his fearlessness and passion for helping others. In turn, he has empowered people around the world to create and participate in the process of expression. As Black says, He’s creating this monster project...showing that we’re all human—all equal.”
