New Orleans Armoire

When French immigrants settled Louisiana and the lower Mississippi River, they brought with them a taste for traditional French armoires to store their linens n' things. By the turn of the century newly-arrived Anglo cabinetmakers began decorating them with vibrant inlays fashionable in English speaking parts of the country.
