Dennis P Paul's Laser Invention Can Make Music with Any ObjectDennis P Paul

Designer Dennis P Paul has created a device that can make anything into a musical instrument. Seriously. One part of the machine spins an object similar to a rotisserie, while another part uses a laser pointer analyzing the differences in depths of the spinning object. Based on this information, the machine creates pitches according to the surfaces of the object. The designer calls it "An Instrument for the Sonnification of Everyday Things," and whether it's actually useful in one's "everyday" life, it's definitely a feat of technology.
