A Floating Airport in the Thames Estuary by Beckett Rankine

If you need more room for airports and runways but don't have the land, why not expand onto water?  Beckett Rankine has created a concept for a floating airport in the Thames Estuary, only 40 minutes away from London through an underground railway system. If approved, the project promises not to destroy homes or buildings in the process, while also exercising sustainable construction practices.
