Usain Bolt's Nikon D4 Sells For $7,300 in Charity Auction

Usain Bolt's Nikon D4 Sells For $7,300 in Charity Auction

Last August, Usain Bolt made headlines for taking a photographer's camera after he won a race. He excitedly snapped pics of the crowd and other photographers, and plenty of photos were taken of him, as well.

Later, Bolt signed the camera, and the original owner, photographer Jimmy Wixtröm, agreed that they should sell it for charity. After a first attempt on eBay (where bidding went up to $11,600), they were shut down for not being completely detailed and transparent with their terms. Now, they've finally sold the camera for $7,300, which will benefit cancer research and educational charities.

It's always nice to see someone using their influence for the betterment of those in need.
