Artist: Belle Kogan
Year: 1935
Medium: Product Design
This duck-shaped alarm clock used the inexpensive and durable material of plastic, which at the time was a new medium to work with. Using plastic made mass production of the clock possible, while today Kogan's clocks have become collector's items. Kogan was one of the first American female industrial designers.
