Artist: John F. Sierks
Sierks was the leading architect in the construction of Levittown, the first suburban residential town featuring mass-produced housing. The area was designed as WWII veterans were returning to America and the demand for affordable housing was high. As part of the project, 17,447 homes were built by 1951. Sierks took part in designing several other Levittown projects in the United States and Europe.
