Cafaro designed the Corvette C5 in reworking the original coupé into a convertible with a rounded, fluid exterior. The C5 set a new standard for Corvette models to follow, and was given an Autoweek Magazine Award. Cafaro was inducted to the Corvette Hall of Fame in 2002.
