Holly Thoburn Turns Decaying Walls Into Gorgeous Paintings

Holly Thoburn has spent 10 years traveling the world in search of inspiration. She's photographed decaying walls and surfaces in London, Berlin, Athens, and Sydney. These photos form the basis for densely layered and detailed canvases, paintings that make up her forthcoming exhibition Scratching Beneath the Surface.

The London-born and based artist's new show opens on November 3, 2012 at No Walls Gallery in Brighton, England. The work will remain on view through December 2, 2012.
