Norman Rockwell and His Dogs

Painter and illustrator Norman Rockwell had a deep appreciation for dogs, and often featured them as the main subject of his compositions. He often showed the animals within a family context in illustrations representative of post-WWII middle class American life. His own dogs, as well as his neighbor's animals, would often model for his reference photos.
