Advancements in technology have brought us a quality and variety of video games that some would have never imagined. No matter the console or version, video games have inspired more than good times and great competition, they've made way for a wealth of diverse and intriguing artworks, many of which will be on view at The Smithsonian's The Art of Video Games now through the end of summer.

Whether the Super Mario Bros.-inspired installations by Cory Arcangel or World of Warcraft chalk paintings by Jennifer Jean Lee, it's pretty amazing to see what artists have done post-gaming.
