Born in Los Angeles in 1982, Matthew Brandt learned photography at an early age, assisting his father on photo shoots. Brandt’s education bounced from photography to art and back – ultimately marrying the two in this series “Lakes and Reservoirs” - where he takes pictures of bodies of water and then soaks the prints in that same water, creating beautiful distortions.
