There's an old cliche batted around about tattoos nowaday: "not just for sailors and criminals anymore." What most folks mean is that tattoos aren't just for tough guys. We see them on hipsters everyday. They bare ironic statements or sometimes literal bears — cute ones wearing roller skates and carrying balloons. Not tough. Not intending to be tough.

MMA fighters, on the other hand, are meant to be tough. In keeping with their profession, many have the typical symbols of a tough guy. Their tattoos are the marks of the warrior, designed to intimidate and solidify a formidable presence.

Don't believe the hype.

We've done some investigation, and come up with a list of The Toughest MMA Tattoos on the Weakest Fighters.

This could have been the worst article I've ever read. Only thing good about this was that Brock was in 1st page to get the attention of the readers.

I love this site, but this article is ass.. the majority of these guys are tough as fucking nails, somebody needs to show the poster some actual fights they've been in. Just wow. MMA education still has a ways to go I guess.

Wow so these guys are "too weak" to wear a piece of art because they lost a couple of times against world champions of wrestling and kickboxing? You'd piss your pants just stepping into the cage to ice them down between rounds, dipshit. What a moron. I'd really like to see this asshole go up to a Hell's Angels biker and tell him he didn't "earn his bike" because he's too smart to challenge to Thiago Alves to a boxing match. I've seen a lot of worthless stuff on the internet, but the author of this page should be alternately proud and embarrassed for somehow ending up at the bottom of the compost heap.

By the way, Dana White once joked that a fighter wishing to get on his reality show (The Ultimate Fighter) should switch his moniker from "The Machete" to "The Butter Knife". If you want to be an internet hack that heckles people who do things you could never achieve, you should take lessons from the leader of the industry (lesson: even at internet hackery, you suck)
