Dr. Rat
The one and only godfather of Dutch graffiti. Got a lot a media attention straight from the start and was on his way to become a famous artist when he died in 1981 after a drug overdose. There were loads of punks writing their names on walls at that time already in Amsterdam, but he really stood out from the rest with a very distinguished style, based on Gothic lettering.
