Preview: Ron English "Seasons In Suburbia"

Master pop surrealist and street art legend Ron English heads west for a showing of new paintings at Corey Helford Gallery. Seasons in Suburbia features English's signature mix of high and low culture. Building unique visions from vintage toys (and more), English's paintings stem from elaborately constructed sets that are first photographed before paint hits canvas. For this exhibition, English continues to tackle issues of consumer culture through subversive visuals, but also promotes his own take on more subdued landscape painting (don't worry though, they've even got a hidden surprise).

Seasons In Suburbia opens on November 19 and runs through December 10, 2011.
