+ Pool Brings a Massive Floating Pool to NYC's East River Using Filtered River Water

+Pool got some buzz a few months back when members of Family and Playlab architecture firms in New York created a Kickstarter page. They figured the project would get the attention of a few important people, but they never expected they'd receive $25,000 in donations in the first six days. The plans are now underway and in the "technical testing" phase with renown engineering firm Arup

The giant cross-shaped building features four pools and has a system of filtration that uses the water it sits on. The floating swimming pool can sit on the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan, or can be moved to the Hudson River between New York and New Jersey, or anchored next to Ellis Island. Stay tuned for more updates. More info at pluspool.org.
