Nick Gentry's Floppy Disk Portraiture

Nick Gentry's Floppy Disk Portraiture

Nick Gentry, a recent graduate London's Central Saint Martins, produces fine portraits on an unlikely canvas.

Exploring the remnants of the not-too-distant past, Gentry uses floppy computer disks to form his canvases. The result adds not just texture to his work, but helps question what's inside the people portrayed - after all, we can't be totally sure what data is contained within the obsolute disks Gentry employs.
