Artwork photographed by Meeshel Prado
Last night, Nicolas Pol
opened his show, “Sick Avatus of the New Blood” at 560 Washington Street in New York City. The show, presented by Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld
, was a collection of new works that are as frenetic as they are awesome. Pol combines stencil work and silkscreens with multi-layered painting that draw from classic art while staying fresh. The work is best experienced in person (it’s big), so if you’re in town try to get by the space, but for now click on the gallery of work to get an idea of what this guy does. We interviewed the artist about his paintings, click through to get his take on the creation of each
, and click the magnifying glass icons for larger images.
