This Building is Craze: Metropol Parasol (Spain)
The Metropol Parasol in Seville, Spain finished completion last month, taking the title as the world's largest wooden structure. The crown-like structure covers 5,000 square meters on an 18,000 square meter site in the Plaza de la EncarnacĂon. It was designed by J. Mayer H. Architects, and came in at a cool 90 millilon Euros. Wow, this thing is so sick, definitely deserves a spot on the 50 Greatest Architectural Achievements when we re-visit that one. Click on the thumbnails for alternate views.
