#40. Art Pirates Rob a Picasso off of Wealthy Arab's Yacht
Stolen: Pablo Picasso, "Buste de Femme 1938"
Location: Antibes, France
Year: March 1999
Worth: $6.8 Million
This painting of Picasso's muse had never been seen publicly or lent to any museum, and it was originally part of the artist's personal collection. The Saudi owner claimed that no one knew he even owned the painting—apparently he would hide it when hosting parties. When the owner's yacht was being worked on, the artwork was to be packaged and kept in a bank vault. It was out from under the protection of the sophisticated alarm system, and the last person to see "Buste de Femme 1938" was the packer who left it wrapped on the floor to be picked up. It was never picked up.

First off this is a pretty terrible article, its is interesting but some one who reads this article will most likely want to hear what happened to the painting, how it was stole or how the authority's have no idea wtf happened. Instead this article is a complete let down it says the very lest amount about each heist possible and a in a few case nothing about the heist at all. Secondly, who gave the writer of this article this list of heist? because its utterly uninteresting these are some of the lamest heist I've ever heard off and as someone who is pretty well verst in art history I have to say check your facts some of these aren't even true.
