Charles Baudelaire by Marlo Marquise
“I’m a big fan of Edgar Allen Poe, and Charles Baudelaire was from around the same time. The two were friends, but Charles always envied Poe's work. Baudelaire wasn’t very modest and he always felt Poe beat Baudelaire to ideas before he had a chance to get them down. He’s was an intelligent French poet and critic, and I found him through Poe. The Flowers of Evil (Les Fleurs du mal) is amazing. His poetry is really dark and goes along with my series well.”
