Mixing the Soup Nazi’s my-way-or-the-highway menu style and Ted Nugent’s anti-vegetarianism, chef David Chang, 31, has quickly cooked up a restaurant empire in Manhattan’s East Village. After opening Momofuku Noodle Bar in 2004, Chang expanded with Momofuku Ssäm Bar and, earlier this year, the much-blogged-about, minimalist Momofuku Ko, which serves only 24 people per night and offers online reservations that go faster than Kanye tickets. Believe the hype: Chang is a food visionary.
