David Lehre, 21, exposed the twisted, hilarious virtual reality of MySpace with his digital camera, iMovie, and the Internet, and now he's got his own studio-and Hollywood shaking in its shoes.

"I've been on MySpace since the start. Then I started using it as an avenue to release my short films and build a fan base.

"It dawned on me that nobody had made a movie about MySpace itself, and if I made it, it would resonate with the 16,000,000 users. And they would pass it along, and my other work would be seen. It wasn't a love letter to MySpace, but a marketing move. I'll probably never touch on the topic again.

"Big studios feel threatened by this new generation of Internet filmmakers because we hit the young people they're losing. They just don't know what kids like, and we do, so this is our opportunity to take control."Home // STYLE // HOW TO // Making Internet Films
