STEP ONE: "Get comfortable riding a skateboard. If you're working hard and you really want to do it, it could take a month or two months before you develop your balance and confidence."
STEP TWO: "Learn how to do tricks. After you know how to push, the first thing you learn is how to ollie. If you really want to get busy, you can get busy. I learned how to ollie the first day."
STEP THREE: "Get consistent. You gotta master your tricks so you can put them into a consistent line. That's where your individual creativity comes in as far as how you put your tricks together."
STEP FOUR: "Hook up with anyone with a camera and start taking pictures and filming the tricks that you come up with. The look is everything. You gotta seem like you know what you're doing, so watch yourself. If you don't like the way it looks, you gotta go back and try again tomorrow, because if that shit is wack, people will call you on it."
STEP FIVE: "Becoming a pro skateboarder means knowing what you want as far as your brand is concerned, and knowing how far you want to take your career. You can stop at being sponsored, but if you stand for something and you've got a niche, the possibilities are endless. So learn the business and not just the tricks."
